This time I decided to turn to the character known and loved by many generations, Doctor Doolittle. It is no coincidence that a number of performances, musicals, films, comics have been created for him. The Doctor's actions and behavior teach the children kindness, nobility, cordiality and compassion.
In our show, Doctor Doolittle not only loves animals, but is also the only doctor who learns their language and always helps them in trouble. One day he receives a message that the monkeys in Africa are suffering from an unknown disease. The doctor decides to help them. He goes to the distant continent, accompanied by his faithful friends - the parrot Polynesia, the monkey Chi-Chi and the pig Gub-Gub, where many obstacles, adventures and encounters with strange creatures await them. You will see a performance with an unexpected visual language, told through verse and music, close to children's perception and saturated with sparkling humor. The play is based on Hugh Lofting's first novel The Story of Doctor Doolittle.
The novel was written in the French trenches during the First World War, he illustrated it and sent it to his children. In the dedication to the novel it is written: "To all children, children by age and children by heart".
