The 12th International Festival for Street and Puppet Theatre - PUPPET FAIR – SOFIA 2022, BULGARIA will take place from September 9 to 18, 2022. The festival is organized by Sofia Puppet Theatre and Sofia Municipality. With this edition, we celebrate 20 years since the beginning of the festival.
Once again this year, there is a diverse program for all ages for the audience to enjoy. The segments include puppet theatre for the little ones (baby performances), puppet theatre for children, puppet theatre for adults, street shows. For the first time during this edition, people will be able to watch micro theatre.
The 12th edition of Puppet Fair will include 12 Bulgarian and 16 foreign theatres from France, Canada, Spain, Italy, Greece, Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Germany.
After the success of the online program, which was included in 2021, again this autumn the audience will be able to watch performances on the platform fest.sofiapuppet.bg. They will be available for 48h and will be free for everyone in the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The event is part of the Calendar of cultural events of Sofia Municipality.
