A collaboration with PUK Puppet Theatre – Tokyo, Japan
Dear audience,
Earlier this year – in May, Sofia puppet theatre was supposed to take part in 20th ASSITEJ World Congress & MIRAI Festival in Tokyo.
We were going to present the play “The story of a seagull and the gang of tomcats”, a co-production with PUK Puppet Theatre – Tokyo, Japan. The play is performed by an international team and it includes actors from both theatres.
Due to the situation and the epidemic emergency regarding COVID-19 the project was postponed for the next 2021 year.
In these hard times, Arts Council Tokyo organized a video project to motivate and support the artists and their audiences worldwide. Sofia puppet theatre was invited and took part in the project.
We’ve created a couple of short videos here in Bulgaria, and our Japanese colleagues edited them into one interesting video. It was published on the website of Arts Council Tokyo and Tokyo municipality.
We are happy that we can share the final result with you!
